Wikipedia is great...

I love Wikipedia. I've only started using it lots since I've back at uni. Its great in many ways, firstly the concept - a free encyclopedia, made for the world by the world, a place where we can bring all the knowledge of the world together in one place. Anyone can create or edit an article, hopefully resulting in accurate and unbiased information.

Secondly, you can find articles on almost anything. It can get silly. I mean, theres useful information for my course, then there's trivia like 'who made cameo appearances in the 7th episode of the second season of that tv show'. The other day I even discovered who the song 'My Sharona' is based on, and what she's doing now.

I'm down in London for a week, and things are off to a good start :) Soon after I arrived in the city I called my mate Drew and we went for a drink in Camden town. My sister Kat and our mate Evlin were also there and we all went to 80's night at the Underworld - or '60's to 90's night' as it is now known. We had a great time! I hadn't been out like that for so long. We got pissed, danced to the likes of MC Hammer, got chatted up by pretty girls, ate hotdogs from dodgy hotdog stands... great stuff. Best of all, Drew was there, being his usual charismatic self.

London's alright sometimes.

Back to school

Hi everyone,

Back in Salford now, back to work. Got two project deadlines next week and then an exam the following week. It's no sweat though, I'm gonna smash it.

Today I saw a beautiful sunset from the top of Disco Towers. Since I've been living here I've seen so many beautiful skies. I wish I had a camera that would capture them all so I could show them to you, but the one on my phone just doesn't do them justice. I'll post some of the better ones for you here. These are actually from about a month ago. Before I came here I thought Salford was going to be grim, but with these kind of skies I feel like I'm on holiday in some exotic location.

I just watched Dancer in the Dark, a film starring and with music composed by Bjork. It's a weepie. And damn it's a good film. I think I just 'got' Bjork. She has a tendency to annoy me, I never really liked her style, but now I've seen this film it's boosted my respect for her.

Anyway, enjoy the skies. The photos aren't that bad really are they?
